Narae Lee, Managing Partner of BLISS Law Office, participated as a discussant at the 6th LawFin Workshop, held online on March 18.
Organized by the LawFin Research Network of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI), the workshop was held under the theme “U.S. Venture Capital Contracting Goes Global: Perspectives from Asia and Latin America.” The event provided a forum for comparative discussions on how venture capital contractual structures developed in the United States are adopted and applied under the legal frameworks of different jurisdictions.
Lee served as a discussant for Professor Kailiang Ma’s paper on redemption rights in Chinese venture capital transactions.
Drawing on the discussions at the workshop, Lee also authored an article titled “Redemption Rights Beyond Enforceability: Risk Allocation in Venture Capital Contracts.” The article was published on the ECGI Blog on April 23.
BLISS Law Office will continue to conduct research and engage in international academic exchanges on key issues in venture capital contracting and corporate law, drawing on these insights to provide clients with sophisticated legal services.
