9 Sep 2026
Narae Lee, Managing Partner of BLISS Law Office, participated as a presenter at the 7th YCC Workshop on Comparative Business and Financial Law, held at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore from August 27 to 28.
Lee presented a comparative legal and institutional study of government intervention and policies aimed at fostering venture capital ecosystems. The study compared Korea’s Fund of Funds, the European Investment Fund (EIF) of the European Union, and the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) Program of the United States, examining the structure of each framework, the role of government, and its relationship with the private venture capital market.
Through her presentation, Lee explored both the necessity and limitations of government intervention in venture capital ecosystems. She also exchanged views with scholars from various jurisdictions on legal and institutional approaches to promoting private capital participation while developing a sustainable venture capital market.
BLISS Law Office will continue its in-depth research on venture capital policies and related legal frameworks in Korea and abroad and will actively apply the knowledge and experience gained through international dialogue to its client advisory services.
